Doha (QAT), OC Office, March 11, 2011: This event become a tradition in Doha, the 4th edition consecutive, will be the second event of the 2011 FIG Challenge Cup series after Cottbus from March 30 – April 01, 2011.
25 countries confirm their participation to this event. Nominative registration is in and Olympic, World and Continental champions are on the roster: From China, 2008 Olympic Team Champion and former Olympic Champion Zou Kai (Floor Exercise) is registered for the Men’s competition.
In the Women’s competition, we will find Daniele Hypólito who is a Brazilian gymnast who competed in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. Hypólito was the first athlete from Brazil ever to win a medal at the World Championships, a silver on floor exercise in 2001. Also we will find the Australian Ashleigh Brennan participated in the 2006 Commonwealth Games where she won an individual silver medal in the Women’s Gymnastics floor exercise and a team gold medal. She competed in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
