Aspire Zone Partners with QGFDoha, Qatar (March 22, 2015) – Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and Qatar Gymnastics Federation (QGF) signed an agreement that will enable QGF to utilize AZF’s Qatar-developed event management system, ‘Bridge’, for its upcoming competitions. The signing ceremony was held at Aspire Dome, and was attended by Mr. Ali Mohamed Al Kubaisi, AZF Chief Corporate Services Officer, and Mr. Ali Al Hitmi, QGF President. The online platform ‘Bridge’ was designed and developed by Aspire Zone Foundation according to international IT standards and best practices. ‘Bridge’ provides a wide range of services for managing events, including accreditation, workforce management, transportation, VIP and other logistical support services. During the signing ceremony, Mr. Ali Al Kubaisi, AZF’s Chief Corporate Services Officer, said: “We in Aspire Zone Foundation spare no effort to enhance sports and athletic performance and support everything that serves sport entitles, as an essential part of our mission. We seek to do this either through the use of our facilities to host and organize the various local, regional and international events, or through sharing our expertise with other sporting entities for their use. We are delighted at the confidence given by QGF, which chose our ‘Bridge’ system to support its management of various tournaments.”
He added: “Bridge is one of AZF’s self-developed platforms. We use it constantly for enhancing the management of our own events. We are happy to go into this partnership that will enable QGF to take advantage of the cutting-edge capabilities and proven functions of the platform.”
Hailing AZF’s new technology, Mr. Ali Al Hitmi, QGF President said: “AZF’s development of the Bridge platform according to international standards has offered special features that will really enhance the professional and world-class management of events. We are really proud to have a national institution capable of developing such an advanced platform. We are also delighted to partner with the Aspire Zone to take advantage of their expertise in this area at a time when QGF is gearing up, as you know, for the 8th edition of the Gymnastics Challenge Cup, which will be held from March 25 to 27 at Aspire Dome with the participation of Olympic and world champions from 33 countries. This tournament is one of the cornerstones of Qatar’s bid to host the 2018 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships.”
AZF has successfully implemented the ‘Bridge’ platform for managing major events, including the ASPIRE4SPORT regional congress & exhibition and the international La Liga tournament hosted by Aspire Academy. Aspire has also entered in a similar partnership to enable the Qatar Stars League (QSL) to utilize this event management system for supporting various QSL tournaments.
