China’s Liu Tingting won the balance beam gold

Doha (QAT) March 25, 2017: China’s Liu Tingting won her second successive women’s balance beam gold in the World Cup series when she amassed 14.466 points at the Doha leg on Saturday.
Tingting, one the rising stars in world gymnastics, had a great performance to pip Romania’s Catalina Ponor, who had to be content with silver despite her great show.
Ponor, a triple gold medallist at the 2004 Athens Olympics, collected 13.900 points.
China’s Huan Luo also had a great start, but finished third (13.700).
Australia’s Emily Little, who won a bronze at the Melbourne leg last month, came fourth (13.200).
Croatia’s Ana Derek (12.833) was fifth followed by Turkey’s Sanli Goksu Uctas (12.700), Australia’s Emma Nedov (12.433) and Hungary’s Zsofia Kovacs (12.100).
