China’s Luo Huan win the women’s uneven bar gold

Doha (QAT) March 24, 2017: China’s Luo Huan, who finished second behind compatriot Lui Tingting in Melbourne, had a memorable outing in Doha when she avenged her defeat to win the women’s uneven bar gold with 14.433 points at the Aspire Dome on Friday evening.
A lot was expected of Tingting, who won with an impressive 14.300 points in Melbourne. But the 16-year-old could manage 13.000  to finish fourth after scoring 14.366 in the qualification rounds.
Hungary’s Zsofia Kovacs came second (13.066) followed by Australia’s Georgia-Rose Brown (13.033).
Aussie Rihanna Mizzen (12.966) had a bad fall in the first attempt, yet she managed to pull it off with a fifth-place finish. She was followed by Switzerland’s Lynn Genhart (12.833),  Czech Republic’s Vendula Merkova, Slovenia’s Ivana Kamnikar.
