Doha (QAT): A total of 54 countries including 183 MAG and 99 WG gymnasts have been registered for 13th FIG Artistic World Cup that will be held at the Aspire Dome here from March 10-13.

The competition will be held after a gap of one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which had postponed 2020 edition.

“We welcome the gymnasts once again. I wish them safety and good health,” Qatar Gymnastics Federation President Ali Ahmed Al Hitmi told www.dohagym.com.

“I hope everyone will enjoy this beautiful sport after a year’s absence.”

Last week, the organisers held a meet with tournament’s official partner Aspire Academy.

Several topics were discussed including the safety protocols that will be in place as prescribed by State of Qatar and the Ministry of Public Health related to the Covid19.

The event is one of the most important on the FIG calendar as the gymnasts will be eyeing qualification points for this years Tokyo Olympics.
