17 February, 2022

DOHA: The Local Organising Committee of 14th Taishan Artistic Gymnastics World Cup on Thursday announced the provisional competition schedule.

A total 31 countries have registered for this year’s event that will be held from March 2-5 with 83 men (MAG) and 32 women (WAG) gymnasts are expected to take part.

Like last year, the high-profile competition will be held without fans due to the strict Covid19 protocols in place.

“We are thankful to the Aspire Academy and Aspire Zone for their support. We also thank the Qatar Olympic Committee and Ministry of Public Health for approving the competition,” added Qatar Gymnastics Federation President Ali Al Hitmi, who is also a FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) First Vice-President.

The preparations have been stepped up to host the 14th edition of Taishan Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, which Doha hosted for the first time in 2008.

On the first two days, the men’s and women’s qualifications will be followed by the finals on March 4 and 5.
