DOHA (Qatar): Iran’s Saeedreza Keikha lived up to his expectations to win the men’s pommel horse final here on Friday.
Keikha scored an impressive 15.200 ahead of Kazakhstan’s Nariman Kurbanov (15.033) and Japan’s Kohei Kameyama (14.600).
The Iranian improved his qualification position where he finished third.
Keikha had raised the country’s profile in the sport when he started winning medals at the FIG World Cups since last four years, and made his country proud when the International Gymnastics Federation named an element on Pommel Horse after him.
